The Kontur Entertainment Unit is a good example of oak furniture getting its act together. Solid oak with oak veneers gives it warmth and substance, while the relief detail and notch handles stop it looking like just another rectangular box for the television. The layout is properly useful too: two side-opening doors, a lift-down centre door with internal shelf, and a cable outlet for all the electronic clutter you would rather not have draped about the room like seaweed.
